Yuma Sun takes honors in state news/ad contest

Arizona Newspaper Association Awards

The Yuma Sun received 15 first-place awards, including General Excellence overall in its division, during the 2014 Arizona Newspaper Association’s annual meeting Saturday in Scottsdale.

The Yuma Sun received 15 first-place awards, including General Excellence overall in its division, during the 2014 Arizona Newspaper Association’s annual meeting Saturday in Scottsdale.

Altogether, the Yuma Sun earned 32 awards in Division 4 — newspapers with a daily circulation under 25,000.

“Despite quite the challenging year, the Yuma Sun staff continued to stay focused on quality journalism,” Yuma Sun Interim Co-Publishers David Fornof and Lisa Reilly said in a joint statement following the awards ceremony. “These awards were well deserved and we are delighted to see our team honored.”
