Things are looking up for the city of Yuma’s revenue from the 2 percent hospitality sales tax, reported City Administrator Greg Wilkinson. In February, $438,744 was collected from the special tax levied on sales by hotels, restaurants and bars. That’s up 11.5 percent from the same month in 2011. Year to date for the fiscal year, the total collected is $2.875 million, up 6.3 percent from the same period last fiscal year.
